Single Women --Get Rid of ACNE Now

By Lesli Chollar

1)Wearing clothes that are too revealing.

Sometimes, in an attempt to look “hot,” we can go overboard and show too much, attracting the wrong kind of attention. The best rule of thumb is to only show off one thing at a time. For instance, if wearing a short skirt, wear a more conservative top. Or, if showing cleavage, make sure to wear tasteful pants or a below the knee skirt. Also, showing a midriff is never a good idea, unless you are at the beach.

2)Wearing unflattering colors.

Black and white are very chic colors to wear, however, very few people look good with these colors around their faces. Everyone loves to wear black, but it can drain the color away from your face, especially on people with lighter hair and eyes and fair complexions. Pure white can be similarly unflattering and even cause your teeth to look yellow. If you must wear these colors, try wearing black only on the lower body and try to find an off white that is more flattering to your personal coloring. Wearing colors around your face that are in harmony with your coloring is a good way to enhance your appearance. Look at the colors in your eyes and hair and find a shirt in this color range, you will be surprised at how many compliments you get.

3)Wearing clothes that are ill fitting.

Everyone has hang ups about certain body parts, whether they are justified or not. Unfortunately, a lot of women try to cover up these “flaws” and in the meantime manage to cover up assets. For instance, someone who is bigger on the bottom than on the top will wear a baggy shirt in order to look “balanced,” but, in the process are covering up a nice small waist. Conversely, wearing a bulky skirt or pants 2 sizes too big to try to balance out a top heavy figure doesn’t work either. The key is to wear cuts that have the shape that balances you out but is also the right size and doesn’t drown out your figure.

4)Looking sloppy.

You never know who you are going to run into. Even if you are just going to the grocery store, it takes the same amount of time to put on some cute jeans and nicely fitting t-shirt as it does some old saggy sweat pants. You don’t need to put on a full face of make-up just to run errands, but being casual doesn’t have to mean looking like a slob.

5)Wearing clothes that aren’t you.

We have all made the mistake of buying something that looked sort of cool at the store but then sat in our closet with the tags on, never to be worn. Never try to be someone you aren’t, if you aren’t quite sure about something at the store, don’t buy it, even if the salesperson says it looks great. You have to feel good in something in order to look good.

6)Dressing too “young.”

No one needs to see a 35 year old career woman in pigtails and short shorts, unless it’s Halloween and you are dressed as Chrissy from “Three’s Company.” Some trends look really cute on teenagers, but that doesn’t mean we should all be wearing them. If you were wearing glittery make-up, braids and leg warmers the first time they were in style, then you are too old to be wearing them this time around. It doesn’t make you look younger or hip, it just makes you look garish. You can be trendy and age appropriate at the same time.

7)Wearing clothes that are too conservative.

Everyone wants to look appropriate for work, but, that doesn’t mean you need to look like an uptight hausfrau. The librarian look doesn’t even work for librarians. You shouldn’t show cleavage or too much skin at work, but there is no crime in wearing clothes that fit well and show that you actually have a figure. Again, you never know who you are going to run into.
